Broken Promises = Broken Self-Esteem

I have recently had a rash of people setting appointments and then canceling last minute…grrrrr.

Yes, it’s annoying, yes I have to look at who I am BEING to bring people in that think my time isn’t important.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand that “things” come up. Yet when something is important enough, appointments are kept.

This is what I know to be 100% true.

Broken promises = broken self-esteem, every time.

No exceptions.

Since the beginning of time, there has been nothing more important than our word. Most of us are taught to be people pleasers and to not speak what we really want or what we really need.

Until I did the Landmark Education training, I never really got it. They teach you that being meticulous with your word is the gateway to the highest levels of integrity.

That means:

When you make an agreement with yourself, keep it.
Don’t cancel appointments with others(I can hear some of you justifying).
Be impeccable with your word.

We are all works in progress and as I write this I can see some places that I need to improve. I don’t have trouble saying no to things that don’t serve me, and I also consider before I make an agreement that it aligns with what I want and need. I 100% get the consequences of not living an authentic life.
